Kebabs

I have been working on gathering pictures and recipes for my blog all summer. It may be a little late in the season for this one, but if you have a grill and a party coming up soon I would definitely recommend it! I made this for a pool party this summer. There's lots of chopping involved, but the kebabs are super easy to make.
Here's a list of the ingredients I used:
Zucchini
Bell Peppers (Yellow, Orange, Red)
Sweet Onion
Pineapple
Chicken
Olive oil
Seasoning salt
Bamboo sticks
First off, I cut the vegetables into bite sized wedges. The peppers and onion fit best on the kebab sticks if they are more of a rectangular shape. Then I cut the raw chicken into bite size amounts with my food scissors. I drizzled some olive oil and seasoning salt on the chicken and the vegetables.
The bamboo sticks need to soak in some water for at least 30 minutes. For best results, soak your bamboo sticks over night--it takes a while for the water to be absorbed, but the longer they soak in water the less the bamboo sticks burn when you grill them. After you soak the bamboo sticks, then you can start putting food on them! I tried to make sure there was a variety of vegetables mixed in with the chicken to keep everything balanced.
Then they are ready to be grilled and enjoyed!
